Please Note: Registering your child, unfortunately, does not guarantee your child a place, until a deposit has been paid (subject to availability). Please call us to enquire about our availability and discuss securing your child’s place.

When you complete your application and pay the registration fee confirming your child’s place, you accept our Terms and any other terms that you’re provided with during the booking process.

If anything in these Terms is (or becomes) invalid or, unenforceable:

• it will still be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law
• you will still be bound by everything else in the Terms.

Once Upon A Time Daycare is a private nursery setting offering childcare for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. We are purpose built and designed settings with their own private parking, private soft play area and designated outdoor learning environments for our children.

Our nurseries have 4 different themed rooms for each age and stage of development, these comprise of our Outer Space room which is for our 0-1year old’s, Under the Sea which is for our 1-2 year old’s, Jungle which is for our 2-3 year old’s and finally our Little Kingdom room which is our 3-4/5 years. Our Ecclesall road site also has an additional outdoor classroom which is called the Enchanted Forest being our larger nursery this room is to get our children school ready.

All of our educators, hold either NNEB, BTEC or NVQ minimum level 3 qualifications, with some offering childcare degree qualifications & EY Teacher Status. Our apprentices are working towards their level 3 qualifications. All staff including the apprentices and chef are Paediatric First Aid trained.
The Parentzone app allows us to keep in contact with our parents throughout the day. The app is used to update families on what their little one is getting up to in real time. This includes meals and how much they have eaten, nappy changes, activities they have been getting up to and sleep updates. It also allows families to share with us home learning and experiences and communicate easily with the team throughout the day.

We’ve gone to great lengths to create an inspiring environment that ensures the best possible start for your children, and works in partnership with our parents. We recognise that raising a child is a balancing act and everything we do, from flexible opening hours to a dedicated parents’ area with coffee and breakfast area keeps you at the heart of everything we offer.
Each child’s learning journey is completely bespoke to them and our qualified staff team are trained to follow each individual child’s journey and enhance the learning through play.
Our team build on children’s individual strengths and passions, encouraging them to grow at their own pace. Development is equally fundamental to our team culture and we support our educators to pursue further studies.
